What is the GPS for Success?
This training will introduce you to the GPS for Success Toolkit. It has two parts. Part 1 includes introductory information and content standards for four areas: reading, writing, mathematics, and technology/computer literacy. Content standards define what a learner should know and be able to do within a specific content area. Part 2 contains teaching resources. As you continue through this course, you will learn about the toolkit in detail.

Purpose
The purpose of this online course is to increase your knowledge of what your adult students need to know and be able to do to be successful in the 21st century and to provide you with resources for getting and keeping your students on the road to success!
Objectives
Learners who complete this online course will:
- Know the contents of the GPS for Success, Part 1 and 2;
- Understand the effectiveness of using content standards for improved learner outcomes; and
- Identify tools, techniques, and resources to implement the GPS for Success in your classroom and program.

As you continue through this course you will find reflection questions for each section. They are provided to guide you in completion of this course. All the questions can be found in the Reflection Guide, which is a Word document you can download and type your answers and notes directly into the document.

As you continue through this course, there are many different downloads that correlate to each individual section. All of these files are pdf documents and will require Acrobat Reader to download. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, you can download this software for free.

If you would like to get the entire GPS Toolkit before continuing you may do so now. These are large files and may take several minutes to download.
